According to Stats Canada, Every 6 Days in Canada, a women is killed by her intimate partner

  • 67% of Canadians know a women who has been physically or sexually abused

  • On any given day in Canada, more than 3,300 women (along with their 3,000 children) are forced to sleep in an emergency shelter to escape domestic violence. Every night, about 200 women are turned away because the shelters are full.

There are 7 different types of abuse





Male children who witness or are involved in violence and abuse are statistically more likely to grow up to be an abuser.  In the same respect, female children are more likely to be victims of abuse.
